When a student chooses to seriously pursue dance, Driftwood Dance Academy is equipped to support this journey.  It takes a great amount of strength, determination and commitment to prepare for a life in the dance arts – and it is also a lot of fun.
Ballet forms fundamental postures, body awareness, strength and flexibility.
“The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations… setting [exam] standards in classical ballet worldwide…and are a global leader in dance education and Continuing Professional Development for dance.”

Students wishing to take a graded or vocational exam with the RAD must enroll in two syllabus classes per week and the appropriate Progressing Ballet Technique class for their grade.

The Ministry of Education recognizes the completion of RAD Vocational Exams as external credits towards students’ Academic Fine Arts records at the highschool level.
